Application of Wristband Pulse Oximeter in the Diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome
Comparison Trial with Polysomnography (PSG)
General Information
From June 2021 to December 2022, more than 100 patient cases were collected at the Sleep Center of a tertiary hospital in Wuhan. The participants’ ages ranged from 17 to 67 years, with the majority being young and middle-aged adults.
Study Method
A self-controlled parallel design was adopted. Each subject simultaneously underwent standard polysomnography (PSG) and AI Sleep Screening in an independent sleep monitoring room.
Results
Blood Oxygen Classification Algorithm: Using the raw PSG data as input for the blood oxygen segmentation model, the resulting oxygen desaturation labels were statistically compared with the labels parsed from the PSG scoring files. The model achieved a sensitivity (true positive rate) of approximately 98.9%, specificity (true negative rate) of approximately 95%, and overall accuracy of approximately 97.8% for artifact segmentation.
